When our friend, Chris Chichester, retail manager at Sunset Meadow Vineyards in Goshen, invited us to a private tour and tasting, we said, “Cheers, we’ll be right there!” As many of you probably know by now, we have a deep appreciation of wine and try not to miss any opportunities to broaden our taste bud experiences.

Sunset Meadow Vineyards offers 22 different wines. Ninety percent of the grapes used for their wine is grown on SMV’s 33 acres of planted vines. We had a lot of tasting to do, but we were up for the challenge…

“Hello, fun!” That’s Pedego Electric Bikes’ tagline and also how we felt after our first Pedego experience! We visited their SoNo store a few weeks ago to take a couple of their rental bikes out for a sightseeing spin around beautiful South Norwalk. Ahhh!!!  See how we did…and scroll to the end for a great offer for Unlocking readers – your turn to “hello, fun!”

On a scale from one to ten, what we knew about fine art posters before this feature would be a two. One, because Lora always wanted the Le Chat Noir one; and two, I knew I thought they were pretty.

We popped along to visit with Veronica Martin one evening to learn all we could about fine art posters (lots of great history and stories we loved).

‘Twas a rather British, cool summer’s day when we went to visit Hollister House Garden in Washington. Fitting, as owner, George Schoellkopf would be giving us a personal tour of his breathtaking interpretation of a classic English country garden. As George explained to us, an English garden is a garden with a formal structure and loose planting; right angles, hedges, paths, walls, and a certain exuberance to the planting.

Hollister House is owned by George Schoellkopf and Hollister House Garden Inc., a nonprofit organization.

Allow us, and George to show you around….

We love it when we’re invited to new fitness studios for a personal training session, don’t we Lora? [Lora’s note: Yes, yes we do – and then we get lunch!]. We especially love it when we get to check out a really exciting new concept in fitness studios. While getting a tough, well-rounded workout from top personal trainer Josh Davis, we chatted with Gina Salese Cortese about the business she and her husband Paul Cortese have recently opened! This post will appeal to trainers and trainees alike. Check out in forma fitness located at 175 West Putnam Avenue, Greenwich.

Oh, and scroll to the bottom for a great deal especially for you, dear Unlocking readers 😘

Have a hankering for a quick weekend getaway where you can relax, unwind, and smell fresh, salty air? An idyllic and not-too-far-away place that’s only six miles long by three miles wide exists, and it’s called Block Island. Gentle breezes (bring sweatshirts!), a laid-back atmosphere, fresh seafood, and many options for quiet solitude are waiting for you. I hope you enjoy the photos and must-see ideas from my recent trip! Cheers, Lora

We invited Ryan Kristafer of News Channel 8 fame to come and take a Jazzercise class with us at the New Milford location, where I, (Bev) happen to teach.  If you know your Unlocking Litchfield trivia, you’ll know that Jazzercise is where the two of us became friends and is a workout we both love!

And those who know Ryan Kristafer and his “Cruisin’ Connecticut” segment, realize that he’s up for any challenge and loves to try fun things, much like us! So, it was really no surprise when he agreed to come along and give Jazzercise a try.
