Living out my news reporter fantasies, I play one in today’s episode of “Unlocking Litchfield.” And Lora gives an Oscar performance as “a person on the street.” [Lora’s note: why aren’t agents calling me??] Watch as I find out what “the people” of New Milford know about their local WFSB news anchors, Dennis House and Kara Sundlun.
Then it’s over to the “studio,” where we sit with Dennis and Kara and delve a little bit deeper – how did they meet? How do they keep their love alive? What item of clothing does Dennis wear that Kara can’t stand?
Because we like to multitask, we also give you a mini tour of 19Main, the new events venue we’re filming in. Built in 1903, the building almost always housed a bank – until now. Where you once stood to cash your check, you can now stand with a glass of bubbly. We’re dreaming up some kind of an excuse to throw a cocktail party here; it would be such an elegant affair.
Dennis House co-anchors Eyewitness News at 5, 6 and 11 PM, and Face the State, the Sunday morning political show on Channel 3. Kara Sundlun is a two-time Emmy-award winning journalist, co-host of Better Connecticut with Scot Haney, and anchors Eyewitness News every day at noon!
Dennis and Kara, married for 12 years, brought their two children, Helena and Julian with them. As soon as the interview is over and family pics are taken, it was into Nordica Toys for a “tour,” as Julian had suggested they take.
Huge thanks to them for taking time out of their crazy busy schedules to join us in New Milford for a fun afternoon.
Enjoy the show 😉
Please note at 9:41 where Dennis asks us to come on Face the State. We’re ready Dennis 😁
